=0A-My first plane was a 701 with a Subaru EA-81.- Great little one pla ce STOL.- If =0AI where to build another I would not put more than 65hp o n it.- Remember it was =0Adesigned originally for a 45hp.- =0A=0A=0AIf you are dead set on 100hp then there is no reason not to build a 750.- If you =0Aare building from plans you are only talking about several hundred dollars in =0Amaterial to make the change.- I am in the process of buildi ng a 750 from plans.- =0AI will assure you that it is a LOT MORE airplane .- =0A=0A=0AIn my not so humble opinion the 701 is a great fit if you nee d to meet the =0AEuropean ultralight rules.- After exposure to both I wou ld not consider building =0Aanything but a 750 if building under FAA rules. - The 750 is optimized for sport =0Apilot rules.- It should weigh in at under 800 pounds and with a 1320 gross =0Aweight you have plenty of utilit y.- It can also be built in a heaver version =0Athat gives you a 1440 pou nd gross as an experimental flown with a private pilot =0Alicense.- Do yo urself a favor and go sit in them both.- You will find it is a no =0Abrai ner.=0A=0ABrett=0AN7750H =0APlans built=0A30% done
