I second that... Thanks for sharing the link... I have always wanted to streamline my struts but didn't think it had a big effect.... A fellow 8 01 builder told me he covered his and picked up a little speed but..... The Zenith thin metal strut covers were so fragile he could not push the plane around by pushing on the struts without bending them. I did find some poly/PVC covers that looked like it was more durable but after seve ral emails to them and no response I concluded that company must have go ne belly up.... Anyone have another source? For everyday use i would pr obably leave them off. But on a 13 hour trek to OSH I bet they would pay for themselves real quick.......
