My GSC prop is nearing TBO. It only has 300 hours on it, but the 5 years is almost up. Besides that, there are some minor discolorations at the root and along the laminate seams that make me nervous. I have also read multiple stories of GSC props "departing". I have always -- as did the builder -- torqued the screws to -------- Ernest Jessee N4931M Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=336017#336017 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 09:46:48 AM PST US From: hart701@charter.net Subject: Zenith701801-List: Unrolling masking tape When unrolling the tape hold it with your thumb on top of the tape roll and a couple of your fingers in the hole. Apply enough pressure so that the tape comes off the roll at a shallow angle. With a little practice you can even remove tape from a roll that has badly nicked and dented sides. Just another one of those high tech skills an aircraft builder has to learn. (Keep the sides of that tape roll in good condition.) Roger Dubert mentioned something about getting more performance (over the warp) from the Sensenich three blade they have on the factory demonstrator when I went up with him in Mexico last fall so that might also be an option. I forget the exact price I paid for my Warp Drive but I think it was around the $800.00 mark. I think the Sensenich is in the $1500-$2000 range. That's a bit steep.
