I scratch built my 701 rudder about five years ago and I helped kit build a CH-750
rudder about two years ago. The only difference between the two was the spar
material and possibly the spar doublers. In fact, the rudder plans used for
the 750 are the 701 plans. The part numbers are all 7-xxx instead of 75-xxx like
the rest of the 750.
Now that being said, themost recent701 rudders have the new heavier spar as well.
This makes the rudders interchangable between the 701 and 750. According to
Caleb or Roger (can't remember which one I asked) the heavier spar was not necessary
for the 701 but was upgraded specifically to keep the two rudders the
same.

Besides the spar being changed to .032 did Zenith change anything else such as
the ribs, skins, horn etc....
