I borrowed an O2 bottle ( yes it was full ). I ended up getting to 17990. It took 38 minutes to get up there and the plane still had 100'+/minute left at 50MPH indicated. Unfortunately I had decided to wear shorts, sandals and a Hawaiian shirt. The cold was made worse by the gaps in the door. ;-) http://youtu.be/-ZNsd0H3_ok John Marzulli http://MarzulliPhoto.net/ http://701Builder.blogspot.com/

John, You need to start at my elevation (9,100') that way you would reach 17990 faster!!!! Starting at 9K would have only saved me about 10 minutes. ;-) BTW - This was started with 15 gallons in the tanks, and I am FAA standard. Cameras, O2, water, ect probably added an extra 20lbs.
