Hi All , I'm new to the list. I had some parts for a 701 ,so I ordered the rest of the parts that make up the firewall aft, and the finishing kits, from zenith they are supposed to be ready to pick up Feb. 2. I'm not a newcomer to aviation but the only zenith I've been around is when I got a ride in the factory demo a couple of months ago. I fly a Kolb firestar 2 with a HKS 700 engine. Wich brings me to my question. I know its a bit early , but when I think about what engine to use, I can't help but wonder if anyone has put a HKS on a 701? If any of you know of someone that has , please help me get in touch with them. How it turned out could save me a ton of money, time and effort. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you. The Kolb list is of great help to anyone who flys a Kolb. I'm sure the people on the Zenith list represent a large pool of knowledge and experience. I would welcome the chance to visit ----Email , Phone , or if close enough, in person with owners or builders. Happy Flying!! Frank Goodnight Fayetteville, Arkansas

You would probably be disappointed with a 60HP engine on the current 701. The 912ULS is by far and away the best option for the modern 701.
