I have 740 hours on my plane. Have not had for over 5 years and 250 hours. The plane was built to Zenith standards which at the time at least did not show a need for it. Fuel flow has never been an issue even when hanging it on the prop at full throttle (granted that is only done for a short period since it makes me nervous. You do want you want and I'll do what I want. I also believe the owner of Jabiru USA does it this way. Don't consider it a "bad habit" at all. -----Original Message----- From: owner-zenith701801-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-zenith701801-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of fritz Sent: Monday, January 21, 2013 11:56 AM Subject: Re: Zenith701801-List: fuel pump 701 some folks have more hours than this on their aircraft before bad habits catch up to them---- good luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Randy" Sent: Monday, January 21, 2013 12:44 PM Subject: RE: Zenith701801-List: fuel pump 701 >I have a 601xl with a Jab 3300 and only use the fuel pump before > starting(turn it on for a few seconds, turn it off and start the plane). > I > have 740 hours on my plane. > > > Randy > > > From: owner-zenith701801-list-server@matronics.com > [mailto:owner-zenith701801-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Dan > Wilde > Sent: Sunday, January 20, 2013 11:33 AM > To: zenith701801-list@matronics.com > Subject: Re: Zenith701801-List: fuel pump 701 > > > I also have no aux fuel pump.
