Just a theory of mine. Our 701 also has the fuel tank contents disparity and I
think that this is due to the fuller tank, left one in our case, having the engine
(Rotax 912) fuel return pipe going to it. At this stage am unsure how much
fuel is actually returned to the tank per hour of flight. Just a thought.

Richard,
I flew a tecnam Super echo set up in the same way (fuel return to r/h main) and
it behaved the same, it was so bad in fact that if you flew on both with the
mains toped off the R main would overboard fuel out the vent pipe (small amount).
My question is why run the return line back to the tank? If I remember correctly
we just returned it to the supply line.
Dave
