Nicely done, Perry
I too use this technique on aluminum, but when I read "slots" on the
heading of your note, I thought about the slots on the firewall, for the
steering rods.
(I have been working on that area, so it's natural.)
To make those slots, I used this tool, available from the usual sources:
http://www.adelnibbler.com/
It's fairly cheap at around $30, and works nicely - of course, it also
works on aluminum.
