    Subject: Auxiliary Tanks
Hi All, I would like to get some feedback on whether the cost and work to install auxiliary tanks is worth it. My goal is to use the 701 in off airport type flying with the possibility of putting it on floats or skis. I had not considered auxiliary tanks until visiting Alaska and the Yukon pulling a travel trailer this past August. One had to be aware that there was not a filling station around every corner. I carried an extra 6 gallons of fuel and topped up the truck a few times to ensure I would not be on fumes before I found fuel again. I would like to know some of the trade offs those flying the 701 have found. Regards, Perry

Don't think you can ever have too much room for fuel. Have 40 gal worth of tanks in my 701 and believe it was money well spent. Don't often fill them but the capacity is there when I want it.
