The report from the pilot says The aircraft was performing gentle manoeuvers at 100 mph when the pilot noted that both cabin doors were bulging into the slipstream & almost instantly the left door fractured and departed the airframe. These were the latest type bubble doors with a composite frame. Just enquiring if anyone else flying with these have had any problems or are happy with them, as I have seen no reports on this list. A few of them even without the doors. I dont see any problem with the latching system of the 701 doors... As in all aircraft: The Pilot (Captain) is responsible that the doors are correctly closed and the passengers seat belted and advised (Sit down, bucke up, dont touch, dont yell, dont complain:-) Before every flight. The big first diferences from driving and flying is the planning and the check list(s)... I tell the parents of Young Eagles that learning to fly makes responsible boys. Gary Gower.
