Art, Like you, I started with 6 degrees on my CH701. I found that 10 degrees worked better. I still had to tweak the angle a bit after the part came out of the form block. Cool Curt thanks for your response. 10 degrees is what I have for springbac k of the .025 on the flange springback for the horz tip rib but what about the flute reliefs? I surely won'tt want to use the same angle.- I was loo king for something that actually works for flute angle for the material thi ckness.- Be advise I realize this is a as needed purpose relief angle and was thinking 15deg was good.- Just looking for on purpose flute angle . do not archive ch750 v2 Art --- On Thu, 9/9/10, Curt Thompson <charlievictor102@hotmail.com> wrote: From: Curt Thompson <charlievictor102@hotmail.com> Subject: RE: Zenith750-List: Horz Relief Angle =0A=0A=0A =0A =0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0AArt, =0A=0A - =0A=0ALike you, I sta rted with 6 degrees on my=0ACH701.- I found that 10 degrees worked better .- I still had to tweak the angle=0Aa bit after the part came out of the form block. =0A=0A - =0A=0ACurt =0A=0A - =0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A From:=0Aowner-zenith750-list-server@matronics.com=0A[mailto:owner-zenith750 -list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Art Olechowski =0ASent: Thursday, September 09, 2010=0A10:46 AM =0ATo: Zenith750 =0ASubject: Zenith750-List: Horz=0ARelief Angle =0A=0A=0A=0A - =0A=0A=0A =0A =0A =0A Hey all you 750 scratchbuilders, =0A =0A =0A For the-Ho rz form block-reliefs, what=0A relief angle have you all had sucess with to obtain a semi-flat horz tip=0A rib?--I have 10deg of angle for spr ingback (tried 6deg), should I=0A try 15deg for the reliefs? =0A =0A =0A - =0A =0A =0A Thanks in advance. =0A =0A =0A - =0A =0A =0A d o not archive =0A =0A =0A ch750 v2 =0A =0A =0A Art =0A =0A =0A =0A =0A=0A - -http://www.matronics.com/Navigator?Zenith750-Listhttp://forum s.matronics.comhttp://www.matronics.com/contribution - =0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A - List Contribution Web Site -

Art, I used a 1 inch spindle sander to notch for the flutes. I have a note on one of my wing nose rib form blocks that says I angled them at 45 degrees. I still used fluting pliers once I got close.
