Dan, the manual is laid out so that you build the rudder, tail, wings, then
fuse.- After scratch building my 701 helping a freind build a 750 kit, t
hat order-is the way to do it.- Follow the manual especially if this is
your first kit build.- You will find that the manual pretty much holds y
our hand during the rudder assembly.- By the time you get to the end of t
he fuselage build it is a lot more general in the instructions because it a
ssumes you have learned a lot about how things go together by that point.
- If you skip the wings until-later then you will be missing a lot of t
he transition and will find the fuselage instructions a little bit frustrat

I agree with Doug. built 2.5 701's and did it that way.

I scratch built a 701 a long time ago----- Didn't Chris say in the
manual it is easier to fit the fuselage to the wings than vise versa
???? I built fuselage last.
What's said below is very important about the "learning curve".
