Please pardon the naivet of a first-timer Using the holidays to pour over my newly arrived I note that the aft-fuselage longerons do not appear to be the garden variety 6061-T6 L-extrusions of some other Zenith designs, but a unique stylistic variant. As attractive as the rounded edges and flush-inset extrusion is, does anyone know of a commonly available alternative? I have nothing against paying the Zenith price as it seems modest enough, but have been around government procurement far too long to be comfortable with sole-source contracting I take the thickness to be nominally 0.050-0.075, but an L that long is far too long to simply gin up in any bending brake I can afford What are the plans/scratch builders doing? -------- -- Larry Virginia, USA Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=361641#361641

Larry, Buy the things you cannot bend or process and make the ones you can. Zenith will work with you as well as anyone would. They are straight up people and they do want you to succeed.
