Subject: Header Tank Vent Description: I used an automotive style vacuum check valve to vent the header tank. A fuel line runs from the tank up through the wind screen to an area at the highest point and just over head of the pilot. The check valve will allow air in to header tank but will not allow fuel out. The check valve is about he size of a nickel with a small nipple on each side as seen in photo. I also used a automotive style vacuum nipple on each fuel tank vent. I drill a 1/16" dia. hole to allow the tanks to breath which seems to have eliminated most of the cross feeding when flying in uncoordinated fight and forward slips. This has worked well for me but may not for others.
