Subject:   Dynon Compass Module
Description:   

These are pictures of the remote compass module I have mounted in the tail deck area. The area shown should be nearly the same as the tail areas of the other RV types. In my case I have a compass module for a rocky Mountain Instrument mounted there as well. The tray for the module is mounted at three points to allow for position adjustment for the Dynon unit. The RMI unit has a standoff spacer added under its front mount to bring it into level with the line of flight specification as per the RMI install instructions. The triangle base mount is suspended in some soft home made silicone mounts. Initially I leveled the Dynon unit with a bubble level.For fine tuning, tightening the screws moves the height of the three corners. All of the mounting hardware (screws nuts and washers) are stainless steel. I will be enclosing the modules in a weather resistant container. (most likely a zip lock bag).
