My opinion:
Cheltons are a negative, too old, no support.
Engine time is high enough that buyers will have to build in an overhaul allowance. Prop too, I presume.
No ifr-TSO’d GPS is a negative. ...

Many people install a Ray Allen POS-12 position sensor attached somewhere on
a flap bar to measure the extension points and report to your efis. I did
this but cannot find a picture. The POS-12 is ...

Tim,
By 2008 the Showplanes flap controller was an extra cost option (it may have been available directly from Vans?). The no-extra cost system was simply a switch which continuously ran the flaps, u ...

During phase 1 I just used some markings on the flap, and an up-down switch. Then, I flew on a particularly dark night, and couldn’t see the markings. I put in the position controller offered by Van ...

I just heard some new-to-me information on this (3rd hand-use at your own risk). As stated above, Hartzell has switched to a Nyco grease, which absolutely may not be mixed with Aeroshell 5 or 6. Howev ...

Yep, the "new grease" (Nyco something??)can NOT be mixed with Aeroshell 6, you need to take the hub apart and clean out all the old grease. However, Aeroshell 5 can be mixed with 6 (you hav ...

I think you may have dropped a zero, e.g., went to 0.0005" smaller (5 ten-thousandths).

Once you get all cylinders peaking at the same time, the smoothness on the lean side of peak is ...

The Swift fuels 94UL avgas should be just fine in an
IO540, but good luck finding it much over 300 miles from their plant in
Indiana.

94UL is now available at KRHV (San Jose, CA)
