I leave the caps off the (AirStop) tubes. Works fine for me. Using a 4" screw-on extension through a fancy spring loaded door in the pants - same idea as a pugged hole others use. I like the looks of Ed's straight-on chuck from Harbor Freight.

Hi Bill,
I used a short length of plastic (polyethylene) tubing with ID slightly less than the OD of he cap. I split it to about a half inch from the end. I pushed it onto the cap. There was enough friction to unscrew and hold the cap. After filling the tire, I re-installed the cap and withdrew the tube. Worked well for three years.

Man, I hate it when I type faster than I think ;-( Pretty oblivious/obvious
isn't it Nutdrivers, poly hose, fuel line,,.... Sooo simple!

So how do you deal with getting the valve stem cap on and off with only a
one inch hole? Go up from the sides or do you just not use a cap?
