The Grumman maintenance/service manual for your aircraft has a very good diagram of how the washers should be reinstalled. It's very important they are reinstalled correctly or you will probably have a pretty good shimmy from the nose wheel.

Attached is a pic of the castled nut and washers. I can honestly say, I've never seen this arrangement.
