Couldn't find an answer for this. I recently had my oil pressure peg in flight. My oil pressure sensor is VDO and remote driving a GRT 2000 EIS. I vaguely remembered that air in the line could cause this so I bled the sensor feed line and the pressure returned to normal. (It seemed like there was air in the line when I bled it.) Then it climbed again, but did not peg. I bled it again and it returned to normal. Questions: - Does this sound like normal behavior for the gauge? Would air in the line cause it to peg?
 - I recently did an oil change so I'm hoping the air came from that. However, is it reasonable that I would be getting air some hours after the change, and not right after?
 - My Kitfox has the oil cooler on the suction side of the oil system, between the tank and engine. Is it likely or possible I have a crack somewhere in that system that's drawing air? And if I did, would it be reasonable that said crack would never leak oil, since I have no visible oil leaks?

 Thanks,

				Hi Guy,

This doesn't sound like air. it looks to be more sender caused. It could also be a bad ground not making good contact. These two items are the most common causes.
