Hi,
With regard to gluing the windows into the canopy/door frames, here in Australia it appears that Weldon and Silpruf are not available and the Lord adhesives are not easily obtainable.
My question is therefore to those who have used Sikaflex: how much Sikaflex 295UV is required to attach all the windows?
With many thanks
Rodger
Derby, West Australia.

Not what you asked but might be helpful. The last time I had a car windscreen replaced, (in Albany WA) the professionals used “SIKA TACK DRIVE” pretty impressive, Ive got no experience using it on our RVwindows, but worth looking up the specs. On our RV10, now flying six years 670 hours I used West Systems GFlex .....no issues yet. GFlex is the only product West Systems recommended for our Windows, and no drama getting it here in Oz.

You are correct about the GFlex. I used it to cover the joint between the windows and the Cabin Cover. I used Lord 75/45 AE adhesive to bond my cabin cover to the airframe and bond my windows in. There may be something better but I have no complaints on how well it is holding up.

From I can see Sikka Tak Drive is for Glass not Polycarbonate.
Sika 295 UV is the one most often used by people using Sikkaflex for their windows.
