Anyone else had starter problems with LOM? I do need to re wire the ground on
the bendix, but the "belt tightener " screw on the supercharger is somewhat a
mystery. the LOM engine manual is not real explicit on how to adjust it.

Which engine do you have?

Starting is the weak side of my M332A engine. I understand there may be a larger starter solenoid. Mine has a 30mm diameter. There may be a 34mm diameter starter solenoid.

I have a 332B LOM on the glastar. It is a 12 volt system. It appears to me to
be a rather small bendix - probably the 30. I clearly have some ground issues
for the bendix and am redsigning the grounding wire - trying to use a ground
braid strap of copper instead of wire.

How do you adjust the "strap" adjustment screw on the top/side of the
supercharger. somtimes it feels or sounds like there is somthing binding and
that is why the starter doesn't turn it well, and gets hot. Other times it
spins great.

glad to finally meet another LOM owner!
