Mike- Just got off the phone w/ a former T-38 Airforce
pilot who is going to build a Lightning w/ a chute. He
wanted to know how my project is going. Real
interesting guy. He said the agility of
the Lighting brought back memories of the fighter. He
said top speed was 850 mph, normal cruise around 500
and landing speed 180. it could roll 720 degrees in
one second (essentially corkscrew). After flying one
of those, he said every other plane seemed boring. He
flies in Oregon over forests and does acrobatics, so
he needs a chute. Just thought this might motivate you
to get your license. Google T-38 and check it out. He
took a demo flight in the Lightning and could feel the
 responsiveness. Charles
