G'day,

The Yak 18T has inertia reel type harnesses in the front.
The shoulder straps are a pain to adjust.

Have any of you 18T drivers changed the front harnesses and if so what type and where from?
Are you retaining the inertia setup?

(May be one for you Richard)

Thanks and cheers,
Chris.

Chris,

unfortunately it is very difficult to explain it but it has been done on my 18T.
Even Termikas says that it is impossible but it is not....
The front adjusting shoulder straps can "easily" be changed. My saddler says that and he has changed both seats with new straps.
His  comment was just : Simple but efficient as russian know how.

What I do remember is that there is a spring in the upper part and the belt are strongly tight to the rod by a small metalic part that can be slipped. Then you can replace the belt.
I don't think I have any pics of the mechanism. The only thing I can say is that it is possible not only to overhaul this mechanism but to change the straps.

Sorry for so few informations.

Kind regards

Didier
