All;

Yaron Degani, the owner of PULSAR, lost his life along with 2 other unidentified persons earlier in a small aircraft accident in El Salvador. He had declared an inflight unidentified emergency while departing from Ilopango airport runway 15 but was unable to land the aircraft back at the airport. The aircraft fell into a ravine off the end of the runway, caught fire killing the 3 occupants. It is unknown as of today which aircraft he was flying but it is believed the aircraft was Super Cruiser YS-300-E.

If I get any more information I will pass it along, especially if it brings up any safety concern/issue with the aircraft.

The El Salvador news confirmed the accident. Yaron was giving a demo flight to 2 Chinese nationals who were apparently interested in buying the airplane.

Witnesses say the aircraft, Super Cruiser YS-300E, lost power on takeoff. The pilot attempted to land on the remaining runway but could not stop the airplane in time. It ran off the runway at fairly high speed and plunging into the 1000' tree covered cliff. Apparently he hit the top of the trees, flipping the airplane over as it went down the cliff. When the aircraft finally hit the ground, it caught fire and exploded. There were no survivors.
