Hi Matt,
Sorry about the delays. Long story short is Dave has had a bit of family stuff to deal with. He has 2 cowling completed and is finishing up the last one; it should be ready in a couple of weeks. Once they are all done, I drive to Lancaster to pick them up. 12 hours of driving in one day, round trip. I have the boxes ready to go. Shipping to you is $300. So, that's your balance. I really appreciate your patience.
I talked to Boris today; he installed the first one. He said it took a lot longer to install all the nutplates, cam locs, and hinge than it did to fit the cowling. He said he has about 100 hours in it, including paint.
I think I met Brooks a long time ago. If not, the name sure sounds familiar.
When these cowlings are finished, I think I'll have him make another one so I have one in stock. I wish I could afford to sit on 3 or 4 of them.
Gary

Gary,
Brooks Margolien and I were doing some planning on his shop workload for the upcoming two Vogt-Cowls he is going to install (for me a Dan Schmidt). We originally had a notional 30 day delivery time, and we are way beyond that now. I was wondering if you had an updated delivery estimate so that we could have Brooks make the appropriate plans....that would really be a help...

/p.s. Gary - meet Brooks - I think you will enjoy working with each other - you are both cut from similar cloth.
