Garmin gives the following statement regarding their screen size for the GMX 200.
4.0"W x 3.0"H (10.2 x 7.6 cm); 6.5" diag (16.5 cm)
Anyone who has ever learned what a 3-4-5 triangle is can see that the largest diagonal screen size possible is just 5 inches.

Great catch Gary!

It must be the new math.
Or converting between English to Metric.

Be careful. I'm a liberal and I taught math, from beginning math to geometry, for 20 years.

I DON'T BELIEVE IT!

You LIBERAL!
ME TOO!

Be Reasonable Do It My Way!
If You Are So Damn Liberal  - Why Can't You See It My Way!

Definition of Liberal:
Liberal is anyone that works for the Government.
Conservative is anyone that fills out a 337 or files for an STC.
Filling for an STC also is proof of being Crazy.
Being Crazy is a requirement of being a Liberal.
I don't care if you are a damn Liberal... You do a nice job on a plane.

10 years plus 5 years equal 20 because you were "entitled" to the extra 5 years. I think that's the liberal way.<G>

Must have been Euclidean geometry. In elliptic and hyperbolic geometry, Pythagoras' theorem doesn't work.
Since avionics is a financial black hole, relativistic effects would bend space-time and plane geometry would not apply.

Or maybe the screen is just bent.

Hey we should have Gary give an online course in math.  In Euclidean geometry, parallel line meet at infinity.  So what happens beyond infinity... Do they cross?

Yeah, I remember that. Appreciation for real science and technical absolutes provide an inspirational common ground for people who otherwise agree to disagree on political philosophies. Man, that's deep.
