I can't find the message, but someone wanted to see a picture of my elevator bob weight.
You can also see how I reduced the mechanical advantage of the stick over the elevator by lowering the attach point of the forward control tube.
This is TR-1.

Hi Scott,
Could you please explain what the bob weight does.
I am not familiar with the TR1, when looking at the photo is the forward control tube the one on the left or the right?
Thanks
Mike

Hi Graham,
I think the bob weight was a good thing. The bob wieght significantly improved the ride in turbulence since when you hit a positive G bump the bob weight will add down elevator force. The factory set up will actually add up elevator force in a positive G bump due to the moments the weight of the control tubes add to the control tube attach points.
The bob wieght also adds stick for per G. So if it takes 10 pounds of stick force to pull 2 Gs, it will take maybe 15 pounds so force to pull 2 Gs with the bob weight. It makes the airplane feel more solid.
