   But if one half of the switch fails, how will you
   know it? Don't confuse reliability with longevity.
   Reliability for your flight system (of which YOU
   are a component) is achieved by a combination of
   understanding, skill, failure tolerant design
   and preventative maintenance that takes up the
   slack for issues of longevity/service-life.
