I don't remember the exact wording, but it has to be plainly visible to
anyone that is getting into the airplane. I put mine on the top of the
lift struts. Very noticeable to anyone entering the plane but not so
noticeable in flight. You would have to be higher and in front of the
plane to see it. You can just barely see it on the left side strut.

soon(ish), and I haven't checked the regs, but is the location only for
the benefit of the passenger, and not the public walking by?
In other words, can the placement just be inside the cabin (in sight
of the passenger), with no need to have one outside?
