We're using a UMA 1B1 1/8" NPT probe with our MGL RDAC to measure 914
coolant temps, Ferg.
It's a 2-wire device with an isolated case, but if you pull one of the
wires to ground it will can be wired like the figure on 3-16 of your
installation manual (or like the figure on 3-13) using the +5V
excitation (pin 18) and the GP input (pin 23) you noted.
Pull one of the sender wires to ground. Pull the other sender wire
through a "Y" to pin 23 and to pin 18 via the pullup resistor. The 1K
pullup should be adequate but it's worth a call to Dynon to verify
once you decide which sender to go with. If you need the calibration
curve (Ohms vs temp) for the UMA sender just send me an email. We had
to pry the data out of 'em since the curve didn't come with the
sender.
