I think you're right on... You'd get little use out of a handheld. If
you had a much more meager panel, then maybe. I know almost nothing
about their hardware, but I suggest getting something that runs it
well and absolutely essential is an SSD. I run an old LE1600, and a
while back I bought one and put an SSD in it for a friend for a total
of about $800 with chargers. I wouldn't go less powerful than that.
I'm actually considering buying another or an LS800 or something for
Andrea to use in place of a handheld for the cherokee. The software
does all you really need, if you couple it to a GPS. Just make sure
your airplane pc has Bluetooth.
