Modified V6 / V8s might be interesting to look into. There have been a
number of reductions units, that look good and simple. Most complicated part
is it seem to me, to be putting in 2 spark plugs per cylinder and mags IF
you want to stay "traditional".

None of us know what the future holds for our planes or engines. There
are a considerable number in the US and worldwide so it would make sense at
some point that a company step up to make parts for the engines to be
overhauled. Many M-14 parts can be used on the Housai. I'd just jump in, get
a
plane and have fun. The community is great and the planes are fun.
As for engines...I have also thought about other radials and the options
would mostly be Jacobs because there are engines available. The R755A2 is
rated 300 Hp, the R915 is rated 330 Hp and the R830 is rated 285. However,
all these engines do turn the wrong way :-) I have no idea if the
dimensions of any of these would work.
