WC,
I'd recommend you try flying the trike and using it a while, then
rethink the tail dragger idea. You'd have to redo the controls, the wing
skins
and structural connections with the spar. It's hardly a worth while
idea. The airspeed gained would never pay for itself and forget the see-me
factor, so what are we thinking here? You want to fight differential
braking in lieu of what is a great way to move an aircraft on the ground?
40 hours is missing a zero in my way of thinking. and the $1000 doesn't
count.

to convert to a tail dragger. How difficult would this be and how costly. A few
people knowledgeable with the 601 say it would be around a 250 hour job! YIPES!!!!
I e-mailed the factory and they said probably around 40 hours and $1000.00.
That seems a little optimistic (time wise)
