I have been watching the development of the "upgrade" package on the Zenith blog.
At this point, it appears that this upgrade will approximately equal and may
exceed the effort that went into building the plane from a quick build kit the
first time.
I had decided when I finished, it was the first and last time I would build an
airplane. Now I have a unusable piece of sheet metal which requires that I build
it again to make it fly.
I know many have built from the basic kit and put in much more time and some have
built from plans and put in an enormous amount of time. When I had started
this, I looked at the quick build kit and decided it was the limit of the time
I thought was reasonable for me to put into this. Even at that, the time spent
significantly exceeded initial estimates.
Anyone interested in a Jabiru 3300 engine with radios that happens to be attached
to a large aluminum box?
How many others feel this way?
