Subject:   Kolb Fuel Tank
Description:   

This is the fuel tank I built and installed in my Mk III classic this past fall. It is fabricated from .050" 5052 aluminum. All seams were riveted then welded. There are two outlets that feed into a gascolator that is below and behind the left side of the tank. The tanks total volume is just a little over 22 gallons but leaving some air space on top and allowing about 2 gallons "unusable" due to the tank being flat bottomed that leaves about 18 gallons useable. This will allow me to plan a 2 hour leg on a cross country and still have an hour reserve.
