| Description: | This is only very peripherally related to RVs, so delete now if that is a problem. My Air Cadet nephew was at the Langley, BC airport this past weekend, and in the grassy area beside the runway, he found the part depicted in the attached photo. It looks as though somebody might really miss it, but we don't have a clue what it is, and thought the 'Listers might be able to help identify it. Here is his description; "It is small (about the size and shape of a thimble) metal cylinder. It has two halves that screw together, and inside are three button cells. On the top, there is what appears to be a clear epoxy dome, with a number of very, very small micro chips in it. There is a very, very small blinking amber light of some sort, too. The other intiguing thing is that it has a very strong magnet in the end, so it appears to be used to stick on things". If anybody has any clue what this is, we're hoping that a positive ID might help us where to try and find the owner. Thank you very much for your assistance! Terry in Calgary | ||
