Subject:		Delco Alternaotor Installation
Description:		The following are pictures of the Delco alternator installation in N46CJ. These first three are from its initial design, which was not used. The second design shows the pad directly welded to the alternator and after the spline broke after flying the plane to California and putting on a few hours. Marcus Bates, Jr., machined two new armatures for me ( one as a spare ) and changed and squared up the mount. The last three pictures are of the broken spline and second design but before it was realigned. It essentially looks the same as installed now. One of the pictures has a faded stamped part number on it, though not too readable. Until I get a chance to un-cowl the engine, I will not know the part number or even is it is visible as installed. 46CJ is currently at RIU where Randy is doing some work on her for me. If Marcus is lurking on the list, perhaps he can help with that directly...and add some detail to the evolution of it all.
