Subject: Europa Wingtip Lighting Covers Description: The wingtip lighting covers have been designed to replicate the exact airfoil of the forward 5.5 inch portion of the Europa XS wingtip. Thermo vacuum-formed from UV resistant .125² polycarbonate sheet, the covers are optically superior to and 30 times stronger than acrylic (plexiglas). When trimmed, the covers will be flush with the outer surface of the fiberglas wing and wingtip and abut their edges; the exact configuration of mounting flanges and/or bulkheads for mounting lighting components, means of attachment, and sealing out moisture are the responsibilities of the individual builder. Anyone interested in a set or more info should contact me at fklein@orcasonline.com
DSCN0107.jpg_1.jpg The first picture shows a lighting cover on my starboard wing, tacked in place with a couple dabs of hot glue. DSCN0108.jpg_1.jpg The second pic shows a pair of covers as they come off the mold and as they will be shipped. DSCN0109.jpg_1.jpg The third one shows it next to the fiberglas tip which I removed.
