Subject:		N82PR First Flight...
Description:		I made the first flight in N82PR (my age and my wife's initials) at 7:30 A.M. on July 26, 2003. The tiger stripes on the tail are for the 387th Bomber Group, the KS is for the 557th Squadron, the letter R is the plane's identification with which I flew 64 missions as a pilot in a Martin B-26 Marauder bomber from May 31 to December 9, 1944 during the invasion of Europe in WW II . I built and flew the RV-9A to make a statement that life is not over when one reaches eighty. Construction started January 2, 2002. My thanks go to my wife, long suffering, who tolerated airplane parts in the living room dining room, bath, basement and the loss of half of the garage; to E .P (Pat) Patterson a road contractor of Louisville, KY, builder of many RVs, A&E, who took a Lycoming O320 E 2D run out engine and returned an OSMOH; Jim Sears a builder of an RV 6-A, director of the building of my RV-9A and Ron Fortener, DAR.
