| Description: | Background is as follows. I'm an engineer with a twin brother who is a construction manager. A few years prior to starting the project we were on the lead up to turning 30. So for our 30th birthday we decided to build a couple of planes and fly them around australia. The kits arrived in a box on the 14th august 2000. The airframes were completed with 9 months of the box arriving. It took another 5 months to get them painted and all those things organised. Then the motors were ordered and the firewall forwards were put together. The engines we selected were Rotax 912's. A fair bit of delay was involved at this point with the electricals and radios and getting everything right with the engines. My machine was flown on 05 of june 2002 and my bothers machine the one with the yellow stripes was flown yesterday. The machines fly as per expectation. 4-5 second take offs and high angle of attack climbouts are what they do. | ||
