Other Builder's Home Pages and Web Resources

The RV-list Home Page . There has been an email mailing list on the Net for several years, where people have exchanged information about building RVs. This page belongs to Matt Dralle, and you can use it to join the list, search or download the archives (back to April 1990), and see pictures and movies of RVs.

Frank Justice's Supplemental Instructions. Building instructions which flesh out Van's manual. A must-have!

Gil Alexander's Rivetting Aids page This also includes a link to Will Cretsinger's Wing Building instructions. A little dated, since they don't deal with pre-drilled aileron skins and stiffeners, but they are excellent... again, a must-have.

Sam Buchanan's RV-6 page Lots of excellent photos, plus informative tips.

My RV-6 builder's log . Table format, with links to photos. More photos will be added as they come out of the camera...

RV6/6A Parts/Bag/Plans Cross Reference database. Table format of data base provided by David Peck as at 20 Apr 98.

RV8A Bag Inventory. Excel spreadsheet provided by Charles Rowbotham as at 04 Jul 99.

An authorized 300 page compilation of all technical and builder assistance articles which have previously appeared in old issues of the RV-Ator from 1980-December '97. All photos and drawings have been preserved and all articles have been reorganized and presented in the order in which you build the plane.

Chapter headings: Tools, Tail, Wings, Fuselage, Finishing kits, Engines, Props, Panel, Options, Safety and Maintenance, Performance, Flying

US$27.95

Speed with Economy, by Kent Paser: Various changes you can make to your plane to make it go faster and use less fuel. Based on the Midget Mustang. More on this when I've read it myself.

AVIATORS GUIDE TO MAZDA ROTARY CONVERSIONS by Tracy Crook: Tracy has installed a 13B rotary in his RV-4 and has 250 hours on it. This book includes his Kitplanes, Contact!, and Sport Aviation articles, plus more. Useful if you're contemplating a rotary-engined RV. More on this when I've read it myself.
