Deburring
From Matronics
< Tools
To clean up sharp edges or burrs from drilling/cutting operations deburring tools are used. They come in many forms, a few of which are pictured here. From top to bottom are shown a 12" long single-flute deburring tool (for reaching in awkward places to deburr drilled holes), a V-shaped edge deburring tool, a short-shank single-flute deburring tool, and a speed deburring tool with a handle which allows the attached countersink cutter to be spun in the hole.
Care must be taken with the hole deburring tools to not actually countersink the hole being deburred unless that is the desired result.
