Flying Through

Flying through refers to the formation station-keeping technique of looking past intermediate aircraft in the formation, directly at lead. It is an important skill for a wingman, because flying through helps keep the formation stable and precise, especially when the intermediate aircraft are temporarily unable to maintain position.
