A manual rivet squeezer is most often a simple device with two lever arms. One is fixed and the other is articulated. Companies which manufacture and sell the traditional rivet squeezer are Tatco and Avery Tools (though there are plenty of others). Additionally, Cleveland Tool has a new design which adds some significant mechanical leverage into the equation.

Most manual rivet squeezers have the ability to interchange yokes on the business end of the squeezer. For the usual C-style manual squeezer they yoke general describes a "C" shape, though with variations for different situations. The "C" can have different depths, different heights, can be designed to reach beyond obstructing structures (to a limited degree), and may have other details which help address specific situations.
