Typical Pneumatic Drill

A pneumatic drill is one driven by air pressure. They are often lightweight, not bulky, and can spin at high speeds. They are frequently recommended for construction of metal aircraft. Pictured is a typical good quality pneumatic drill.

Although a lower quality, more inexpensive, drill can be used, serious consideration should be given to using a higher quality tool. The higher quality, and typically higher priced, models allow for much more precise control of drill speed using the trigger (often refered to as 'teasing'). While lower quality drills can be teased, it takes much more practice and is generally not as precise.
