Subject: | Choke (Enricher) cable stop |
Folks, I'm on the backside of my engine repair/installation. I ran into a
problem, well it's a problem for me right now. I cannot fine one of the
enricher cable stops that was supplied by Sky Star, when they had Pulsar.
Living in the town I live in there aren't many people to ask the question,
do you know where I can get this part? Those I've asked simply scratch
their head and say sorry.
I've tried motorcycle shops. Bicycle shops, lawn mower shops with negative
results.
I'm hoping that Sky Star (Kit Fox) uses that part in their Vixen Series
since some of the Kit Fox (Non specific Pulsar parts) were common to the Kit
Fox and Pulsar.
Attached is a photo of the one remaining cable stop used for the choke.
Anyone recognize the part and if so point me to who might have the part?
Thanking everyone in advance
Bernie Berger

Thanks for the support. Greg Smith and Dennis Adams gave me the
information I needed. The part is an AZ-2361 cable stop which I got
from gokartsupply. com.
Thanks again for all the great support

Subject: | starter does not turn the prop |
Sometimes when I turn the ignition key on my Rotax 912UL, the starter
makes no sound and does not turn the prop. When I turn the prop to a
new position by hand, it cranks normally. Someone said worn brushes.
Does that mean the starter motor needs to be removed an overhauled? Is
this a gradual deterioration (only happened 3 times) or will it soon not
crank in any prop position?
What issues will I find removing the starter? Any special tools,
warnings, obstacles, etc?? Should I send it to Lockwood Aviation?
Thanks
