Mike,
Sorry, I've still got the spinner backplate, I was trying to
get a better price on shipping it, then went away for a holiday and it
slipped my mind to follow up on my return, I will see what I can do to
send them all together which will make it more economical.
I will get back to you with price and shipping.
Regards
Keith

Keith, If you no longer need them, I'd be very happy to pay you for
the original bands. I don't have my original bands (wish I did) and
would be happy to see about having the bands re-lined.
Best,
Mike

Mike,
I have a pair of original bands in very good condition,
the friction material is worn out so will need rebonding with new
linings.

Mark, if you can source a supplier that sells the band brakes with
a slightly larger diameter than those sold at Aircraft Spruce, it would
be good. The original Aero Designs band brakes were slightly larger and
the tabs were slightly longer than found available today. The result is
a less than ideal fit. I've looked many places but never found an ideal
source for the band brakes (even though I still like using band brakes
for the 582).
Best,

You might try Norther tool. I have seen in their go-cart parts
area band brakes that look like ours, only I have not measured the exact
diameter to be sure they match what those of us that have early kits
have.
