    Larry, we finally know why your guitar sounds a little sharp. Let's go flying. Greg In a message dated 8/15/2011 10:46:21 P.M. Central Daylight Time, leubanks@sunflower.com writes: --> Pulsar-List message posted by: "Larry Eubanks" <leubanks@sunflower.com> Just a suggestion but I once cleared a fuel vent on a Pulsar using a guitar string. Those are very flexible and made it through the bends that went into the fuselage tank. I pushed while turning it by hand and it cleared out a plug that was restricting the vent inside the tank. I think that I also modified the end of the string so that it had a slight cutting edge to it. Larry Eubanks

    From: Bob Hartunian <bobh5@earthlink.net>
    It certainly appears to be a crack that propagated from fitting base and as you said, due to cyclic bending loading of fitting by hose. Aluminum is poor on fatigue resistance, especially when strength is reduced by brazing as is done on such exchangers. That's why it is so important to have no preload on fittings.     Maybe if I had a real guitar instead of just one string it might sound better too. This is real boring. plunk plunk plunk plunk plunk plunk plunk. I wrote that song myself though. I'll fly if the weather gets a little calmer. Gusts to 25 today! Let's go flying. Greg In a message dated 8/15/2011 10:46:21 P.M. Central Daylight Time, leubanks@sunflower.com writes: <leubanks@sunflower.com> Just a suggestion but I once cleared a fuel vent on a Pulsar using a guitar string. Those are very flexible and made it through the bends that went into the fuselage tank. I pushed while turning it by hand and it cleared out a plug that was restricting the vent inside the tank. I think that I also modified the end of the string so that it had a slight cutting edge to it. Larry Eubanks the ies ay - MATRONICS WEB FORUMS - List Contribution Web Site p;
