I am about to ship an electric cageable artificial horizon. Should/must it be shipped in a locked position? The only way to lock it that I know of is to pull out the caging knob but the knob goes back in when released. I could devise a way to keep the knob extended in the locked position if necessary. There was an accident at the EAA Convention Today - engine cut on take off - not enough runway to land ahead - passenger (wife) killed - pilot 100% burns in hospital. Rgds Keith
